60TH PRESIDENTIAL CYCLING TOUR OF TÜRKİYE TO DAZZLE WITH ITS LEGENDARY COURSE

From April 27 to May 4, 2025, the world will discover the beauty of Türkiye, following the riders from the Mediterranean to the Aegean.

A breathtaking journey is about to begin on roads adorned with Türkiye’s history, nature, and cultural riches. The 60th Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye will transform into a grand event from April 27 to May 4, spanning 8 days and 8 stages—not only celebrating the sport of cycling but also showcasing Türkiye’s unique beauty and hidden treasures to the world. Sports fans will join the excitement either from their screens or along the route, while the world once again falls in love with Türkiye.

World-renowned teams and cyclists will compete across paradise-like roads, weaving through orange, lemon, and tangerine orchards, fragrant paths of thyme and citrus, and forests of pine, olive, and mastic trees, offering breathtaking views. Cultural icons such as Turkish tea, Turkish coffee, local delicacies, charming harbor cats, and the famous evil eye bead will grace international broadcasts and the lenses of world-famous photographers. Along the way, sea turtles, blue voyage sailboats, and windsurfing and kiteboarding beaches will accompany the elite cyclists. With its 60th-year route, the TUR 2025 will continue the tradition of bringing top athletes into homes worldwhide via Türkiye’s heavenly landscapes.

In addition to its athletic appeal, the Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye—which contributes to the Türkiye brand and its tourism value—is broadcast in 13 languages across 5 continents, reaching millions in 190 countries. The route of the 60th edition will feature the following highlights:

Stage 1: Antalya - Antalya (132 km)

The tour kicks off in the Mediterranean jewel of Antalya. The historic streets of Kaleiçi, the majestic Hadrian’s Gate, Hıdırlık Tower, and the elegant Yivli Minaret, along with the hidden gems of Anatolia—Sillyon and Belek—will be captured throughout the tour.

Stage 2: Kemer - Kalkan (167.4 km)

This stage will echo with the sounds of pedals reaching back to antiquity. Patara Beach, the legendary flames of Yanartaş, Myra of the Lycian League, and the crystal-clear seas and diving hotspots of Finike, Demre, Kaş, and Kaputaş Beach will all be broadcast worldwide.

Stage 3: Fethiye - Marmaris (175.9 km)

A route through the heart of nature: Butterfly Valley, the stunning Ölüdeniz, endangered Caretta Caretta turtles, and the Dalyan Delta will offer a visual feast.

Cyclists will pass through Fethiye, Ölüdeniz, Göcek, Dalaman, Köyceğiz, Gökova, and Marmaris, accompanied by a symphony of green and blue.

Stage 4: Marmaris - Akyaka (Kıran) (115.4 km)

Marmaris, a heartland of sports tourism with its cycling routes, will offer forest paths opening to the sea, sailing routes, and postcard-worthy scenes of kite surfers in Akyaka. The Queen Stage from Marmaris to Akyaka (Kıran) is set to make headlines.

Hosting three stages of the TUR, Muğla—with Türkiye’s longest coastline—will illuminate the elite cyclists with its sun, history, culture, and hundreds of intricately carved coves. This route, where blue and green merge, will captivate both cyclists and viewers with ancient cities dating back 8,000 years.

Stage 5: Marmaris - Aydın (151 km)

In this stage where history and nature intertwine, the UNESCO World Heritage Candidate Aphrodisias Ancient City and the iconic olive trees of the Aegean will accompany the race.

Aydın, which has hosted many civilizations throughout history, will welcome a stage finish for the first time. Positioned as the hidden gem of the Aegean, Aydın will showcase its natural beauty and historical wealth with TUR 2025, thanks to its fertile lands and mild climate in the Büyük Menderes Basin.

Stage 6: Selçuk - Selçuk (House of Virgin Mary) (156 km)

Kuşadası, a frequent host on the TUR route, will again welcome cyclists with Güvercinada, the ancient star of Ephesus, the Temple of Artemis—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—the Virgin Mary’s House, and exceptional coves for diving enthusiasts.

Stage 7: Selçuk - Çeşme (144.2 km)

The historic village of Şirince will offer a time-travel experience for world-class cyclists. Seferihisar, a coastal slow city where nature, history, and sea unite, will offer thyme-scented roads for a refreshing ride. In Çeşme, the iconic wind—beloved by surfers—will add adrenaline to the route as the mastic trees wave to passing cyclists.

Stage 8: Çeşme - İzmir (108.7 km)

The grand finale of the 60th edition will take cyclists to the Aegean pearl of İzmir. Delikli Bay’s crystal-clear waters, the iconic Clock Tower, and delicious seafood and rich cuisine will welcome the TOUR. İzmir, with its 600 km of coastline, UNESCO-listed ancient cities, vineyards, and lush gardens, offers 500 km of bike lanes and is a proud member of the EuroVelo 8 Mediterranean Route. The city also presents 28 cycling paths near mythological sites. On İzmir’s jewel-like cycling roads, the world’s top cyclists will write a new chapter in history.
